Volunteer Role Description
Position Title: Worship Coordinator
Department/Team: Events & Spiritual Development
Reports To: Director of Outreach & Events
Role Type: Volunteer Staff (12-Month Commitment)
Estimated Commitment: 6–10 hours per month, including event planning, rehearsals, and coordination
Overview
The Worship Coordinator serves as the spiritual and musical leader responsible for planning and leading worship for TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County events, Freedom Nights, prayer gatherings, and special services. This role ensures that every gathering invites people into God’s presence through Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship that aligns with Scripture and the mission of TPUSA Faith. The Worship Coordinator builds and equips volunteer worship teams, oversees song selection and preparation, and helps cultivate an atmosphere of reverence, unity, and joy. This position is ideal for a mature believer with musical and spiritual leadership experience who desires to see revival in the Church through worship that glorifies God and stirs hearts to action.
Purpose of the Role
To lead, organize, and develop the worship ministry of TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County so that every event and gathering is marked by excellence, authenticity, and spiritual depth. The Worship Coordinator helps create an atmosphere where people encounter God, are strengthened in their faith, and are moved to respond in obedience and boldness.
Core Responsibilities
Plan and lead worship for TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County events and gatherings.
Select Christ-centered, doctrinally sound songs that align with Scripture and the ministry’s mission.
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer worship team members (vocalists and musicians).
Schedule rehearsals and ensure readiness for upcoming events.
Work closely with the Director of Events & Outreach to align worship flow with event planning and programming.
Partner with the Prayer Team to spiritually prepare for each event through prayer and unity.
Oversee technical aspects of worship (sound checks, slides/lyrics coordination, etc.) in collaboration with event volunteers.
Maintain a heart of humility, ensuring worship leads people to focus on Jesus, not performance.
Volunteer Commitment & Conduct
Commitment: approximately 6–10 hours per month, depending on event schedule.
12-month volunteer leadership role (renewable annually).
The Worship Coordinator agrees to:
Serve faithfully and humbly, viewing worship as ministry unto the Lord.
Uphold TPUSA Faith’s Statement of Faith and model Christlike character on and off stage.
Foster unity and spiritual excellence among all team members.
Qualifications
A mature follower of Jesus Christ, active in a local, Bible-believing church.
Experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting.
Strong musical skill (vocal or instrumental) and ability to lead teams.
Deep understanding of biblical worship and commitment to theological integrity in song selection.
Demonstrated humility, reliability, and ability to work well under spiritual and logistical pressure.
Passionate about prayer, worship, and helping others encounter God.
