Estimated Commitment: 1-4 hours per month, including quarterly meetings, committee work, and prayer support


Overview

Executive Board Members serve as the spiritual, strategic, and organizational guardians of TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County. This team provides oversight, accountability, and prayer covering to ensure every aspect of the ministry aligns with Scripture, the mission of TPUSA Faith, and legal nonprofit standards. The Board of Directors works in partnership with the CEO and County Leadership Team to protect the vision, steward resources, and ensure that every decision reflects integrity, transparency, and the heart of Christ. Board Members are not figureheads—they are faithful stewards called to help build the foundation for long-term fruitfulness, organizational stability, and spiritual vitality.


Purpose of the Role

To provide spiritual oversight, organizational governance, and strategic accountability for TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County as it grows and transitions toward full 501(c)(3) independence. Board Members ensure the ministry remains faithful to its mission—seeing revival in the Church and reformation in culture—while protecting its witness and integrity before God and the community.


Core Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual covering through prayer, discernment, and biblical counsel for the ministry’s leaders and volunteers.

  • Oversee the ministry’s governance, policies, and strategic direction, ensuring decisions align with TPUSA Faith’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Attend and participate in quarterly board meetings, special sessions, and committee assignments as needed.

  • Review and approve ministry budgets, major initiatives, and long-term plans, ensuring wise stewardship of all resources.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, nonprofit regulations, and TPUSA Faith’s national standards.

  • Partner with the CEO and COO to evaluate progress, provide accountability, and offer wisdom in strategic planning.

  • Help protect the ministry’s biblical integrity, ensuring all teaching, partnerships, and activities remain doctrinally sound.

  • Advocate for TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County within the community, connecting the ministry with churches, donors, and local leaders.

  • Give prayerful consideration to supporting the ministry financially in accordance with personal conviction and ability.

  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and unity in all board discussions and decisions.


Volunteer Commitment & Conduct

This is a volunteer governance position, requiring a 12-month renewable commitment.

  • No financial compensation is provided; approved ministry-related expenses may be reimbursed.

  • Board Members agree to:

    • Serve faithfully, humbly, and prayerfully, viewing board service as ministry.

    • Maintain unity with the board, speaking with one voice after decisions are made.

    • Uphold the TPUSA Faith Statement of Faith and referenced confessional standards.

    • Comply with all nonprofit governance laws and TPUSA Faith’s Code of Conduct.

    • Keep all sensitive information confidential and free from conflict of interest.


Qualifications
  • A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, active in a local, Bible-believing church.

  • Fully aligned with TPUSA Faith’s Statement of Faith, The Cambridge Declaration (1996), The Nashville Statement (2017), and The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel (2018).

  • Experience in ministry, nonprofit leadership, business, law, finance, or public service.

  • Proven character marked by humility, wisdom, integrity, and discernment.

  • A team player committed to unity, accountability, and biblical leadership.

  • Willingness to pray, serve, and advocate for the ministry’s mission.

All Executive Board Members are expected to:

  • Lead with servant-hearted humility, understanding that spiritual authority flows from submission to Christ.

  • Be faithful intercessors, covering the ministry, its leadership, and its impact in prayer.

  • Model biblical wisdom, discernment, and love in all discussions and decisions.

  • Help steward the ministry’s mission with both conviction and compassion, ensuring Christ remains central.

  • Represent TPUSA Faith – Tarrant County with integrity in all public and private interactions.
